This site is dedicated to the memory of Liz.

Elisabeth was born in York, U.K. on March 14, 1946. She is much loved and will always be remembered by all her friends and family.
Elisabeth was married to Alan for nearly 43 years. Alan now lives in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, and also has a house in Poole in Dorset. They met at a rag ball at Bradford University where Alan was studying Chemical Engineering. Elisabeth was an accomplished pianist and when she met Alan she had just finished her A levels at Ilkley Grammar School. She went on to attend Brighton College where she qualified as a teacher specialising in music. She started her teaching career at Nursling Church of England Primary School in Hampshire where she taught the reception class, whilst Alan joined Esso at Fawley Refinery. They married and bought their first house in Dibden Purlieu, Hampshire in 1967 for the princely sum of £6700! together with their much loved MGB GT. Elisabeth was a keen gardener and walker. She had a great love of the outdoors and its flora and fauna and was also very much into all of the performing arts. Elisabeth was an amazing fashionista and she cherished her extensive wardrobe and superb collection of jewellery, shoes, handbags and other accessories. She had her very own sophisticated style, a unique mixture of vintage chic and quirky ultra modern. She always, without fail, matched her outfit to be the star of every single occasion. Elisabeth was kind, gentle, almost shy in some ways and very, very beautiful! She had the highest of standards and was a role model in how to behave the right way and do the right thing for all those close to her. Underneath her quiet facade Elisabeth was an immensely strong person. She stuck to her principles. She was very tough and very determined
